CORHIO, the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization, announced this week that 12 additional hospitals are now connected to the state’s health information exchange (HIE) network – powered by Medicity technology. The hospitals are all operated by Centura Health, Colorado’s largest hospital and health care network, and serve hundreds of thousands of patients in Metro Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Summit County and Cañon City.
Centura Health implemented an electronic health record system-wide in 2007 to link all of its physicians, clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home care services.
