Medicity
welcomes all users from the Grand Canyon state. Every month
you will receive the Medicity Messenger
to alert you to new features of the system and offer helpful
hints to assist you on the site. So, if you haven’t logged
on yet, now’s the time to get started and see what Medicity
is doing to help you build and empower your local healthcare
communities.

Getting
Started with Medicity
The first thing you need to do is log
in to the site. Click log in
on the left-hand side of the page. Type in your assigned
username and enter your password in the box with the asterisks.
Then use the mouse to click the log
in button. You are now logged in to your personal
portal where you can begin your work.
Please
note: If you don’t know your username or password, call
Customer Support at 888.830.1022 or send an email to support@medicity.com.
Power Hint: To
change
your password, go to maintenance under the main
menu. Click on my settings, then click on my profile.
Follow the instructions from there.

The
Message Center
The Medicity message
center was created to facilitate communication
and help make your day more efficient. Information that you
may have received in the past by phone, fax or paper delivery,
is now delivered directly to your homepage.
In your message center you will see messages
from both your internal organization and from those with whom
you communicate. To view
the details of a posting, click on the posting and you
will be directed to a new page that will list all available
information about that posting. Any file attachments will
be will be in purple and underlined.
To open and view an attachment, simply click on the attachment.
High priority postings are denoted with bold-faced print.
The email indicator at the top of the interface will alert
you of new messages in your inbox.
Power Hint:
Simply select the
signs to open
or close any section of the homepage to keep only the
most important information in focus.

Printing
Documents
Print
from the Medicity site just as you would print any word processing
document. On your browser menu, go to file
and choose print. If opening a
document launches Adobe Acrobat Reader,
you must use the Adobe print icon
.
The Adobe navigation bar is
located just above the document.
Power Hint: If you try
to print an Adobe document from your file menu or the printer
icon on your browser’s navigation bar, you will print a blank
page. Make sure to use the Acrobat print icon to print.
Using
Your Email
Every Medicity user is assigned an email account; yours
is functional already. Our email is simple and intuitive and includes
options such as spell check, the ability to save draft copies, create
new folders and sort by column headings such as date, size, subject,
or author.

Other
email features include:

Check
Mail tab for immediate mail check.

Compose
features, allowing email confirmation that your message
has been read and/or delivered, priority flag settings,
carbon copy, and more options.

Help
function, providing access to detailed online help instructions.

New
personalization features allow you to customize email
settings including color choice, spell check on send,
new folder additions, and the ability to access mail from
any other email accounts you may have.
Power
Hint: You can get to your email account from the main
menu, or you can click on the email indicator that
will take you directly to your new messages.

Calendar
Medicity
provides your facility with a virtual calendar where you can
view appointments, meetings, vacation schedules, on-call duty,
etc. You can access the calendar either through the main menu
by clicking the calendar
tab under community, or
by simply clicking anywhere on the calendar on the right.
To view the calendar by day, week, or month click on the corresponding
submenu item under calendar.
Power Hint:
To change months click on the single arrow next to the month
heading. To fast-forward three months, click
on the double arrows.

Customer
Support
Medicity
offers a customer service line to ensure every Medicity member has
the required support at all times. Our responses to customer questions
are direct and timely when you email support@medicity.com, or when
you ask for assistance, by calling the
Customer
Support Center at 1.888.830.1022
