and Harbor UCLA Win 2001 HITS Award
Winners of the 2001 Healthcare
Innovations in Technology Systems (HITS) award were
announced at the annual Healthcare Informatics & eMD
Conference on April 19. The awards, created in 1992 by
Henry Ford Health System, honor partnerships of healthcare
organizations and technology vendors for the creative
use of new or emerging technology to improve the quality
of patient care. Medicity's partnership with Harbor UCLA
Medical Center in Torrance, California was recognized
in the category of large outpatient organizations
for the excellence and innovation of its ambulatory information
system and powerful analytical tools.
