Medicity, Inc. Announces Improved Services Through
the Medicity.com Community Network

Member Communities Now Benefit from Implementation of New Features and Services

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Medicity, Inc., a healthcare Internet infrastructure company that provides secure communication networks to link medical communities, announces the successful implementation of their latest upgrade to their current member communities and to 8,000 new users in Arizona. Medicity's new user interface, improved messaging functionality, and the ability to post information to partners, enriches the comprehensive clinical content and powerful communication tools.

"In response to current member needs, and to accommodate the rapid growth in Medicity's membership, we have incorporated new features and design into the Medicity network to maximize our services," said Brad Overby, Vice President Sales for Medicity. "Our members now have advanced messaging functions and better ways to share commonly used documents, providing one central location for all policies and procedures accessible at any time from any workstation."

The new user interface is intuitive and offers improved navigation, while streamlining processes and eliminating redundancy often found in manual processes. Additionally, new document sharing features strengthen communication capabilities, making it easier for members to share information with their business partners. Access to and distribution of clinical procedures, patient consent forms, and other documents eliminate the risk of a JCAHO accreditation problem. Key features of Medicity's Document Posting include version tracking, controlled document access, automated member notification for document update, keyword indexes and easy-to-use search capabilities.

"For our organization, Medicity's document posting feature streamlines information sharing as all of our policies and procedures reside in one centralized online location. JCAHO is visiting our hospital in September, and using Medicity has taken the headache out of providing easily accessible documents, available online at our staff members fingertips," said Parvez Erani, Director of Information Systems at St. Mary Medical Center. "Our physician members have mentioned that Medicity is the next best thing to a cup of coffee in their workday."

"This upgrade represents a significant step forward in our ability to deliver a communications infrastructure for healthcare that enables each member to extend their network," said Carol Owen, Senior Director of Product Management for Medicity. "A Medicity site differentiates itself from other solutions by allowing user-defined networks to be customized for their particular healthcare communities while providing access to vital clinical services during the day."
